David Coffee
David Coffee is honored to be a part
of Trinity Shakespeare’s inaugural season. Shakespearean
roles include: the Porter in Macbeth, Antonio
in The Merchant of Venice, Falstaff in The
Merry Wives of Windsor, Prospero in The Tempest among
others. In a career that spans forty years, David has
experience in all arenas of performance (save the circus
and grand opera). Recent honors include an Independent
Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Award for his Pellinore
in Camelot at Boston’s Shubert Theatre, serving
as guest lecturer at Oklahoma University and a tribute
evening for David to commemorate over 40 productions in
fifteen seasons at Massachusetts’ North Shore Music Theatre.
He is delighted to be reunited with his alma mater with
this Festival. David received both his BFA and MFA degrees
in Theatre from TCU. It was also at TCU where he first
“played in Shakespeare”. David is a member of the Actors'
