Jennifer Engler
Choreographer
Jennifer Engler is an Associate Professor of Theatre at TCU where she teaches acting and movement for actors. She has worked professionally in Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City, Minneapolis, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She has a back ground in acting, directing, choreography, and improvisation (Second City). Jennifer earned her MFA in Acting from Michigan State University. Her local professional work includes directing According to Goldman and Guys on Ice for Circle Theatre, Oleanna at Labyrinth Theater, acting and choreography in the Theatre Three production of Metamorphoses, choreographer for the 2009 and Seasons of Trinity Shakespeare Company, and most recently she played Germaine in Picasso at the Lapin Agile at Circle Theatre. In the summer of 2006 Jennifer took a group of TCU students to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they performed a piece she directed, The Girl of 10,000 Smiles. At TCU Jennifer Engler has directed Agnes of God, The Country Wife, Anatomy of Gray, As You Like It, Noises Off, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has Choreographed Baby and Anything Goes; and she has Directed/ Choreographed Cabaret and A Chorus Line.
