Krista Scott
Krista Scott was the Voice and Text Director for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival’s 2008 and 2009 seasons which included TheTaming of the Shrew, Titus Andronicus, Richard III, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged. She joined the TCU Department of Theatre faculty at Texas Christian University last Fall, and directed the recent TCU production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Krista has coached the voices and dialects for Casa Mañana, Dallas Theatre Center, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, Mirth--A Theatre Company, the Hangar Theatre, the Kitchen Theatre, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Cornell University, Ithaca College, and Hobart & William Smith Colleges. She is an associate editor for the International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA) website, a certified Fitzmaurice Voicework instructor, and a board member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. She was co-founder and associate director of The New Tradition Theatre in St. Cloud MN from 1986-1995, and has acted professionally in various companies in NY State and throughout the Midwest.
